Rest in Peace, Not in Pieces.

Do not wait until you die to rest in peace, my friends, do it now. Relax. Say no when they ask you to save them for the third or hundredth time, because they still haven't learned to save themselves. They will never learn their lessons, as long as you are interfering with their opportunities to do so.  There is no glory for a hero who has eaten dirt to save another but doesn't take time to enjoy the rewards, to partake in the consumption of the fruits of ones own labours.  Rest in peace now, and walk gently. Allow yourself to be saved by your own gratitude for your own breath. Thank you, clear and strong breathing! Or, thank you, laboured breathing, for reminding me to pay attention to my own health. Let the tears flow, if need be. And thank you, gratitude, for saving me from a wandering mind full of blame and guilt.  Thank you discomfort, for reminding me to rest, and for motivating me to be creative in finding gentle ways to do so. Let the pillows support you. A small table o
